I’m excited to come back for a second year at the championship with the same team and I have high expectations for this season. I know the bike well now so we should be on the pace at every round from the word go. The only change we have made this season is the switch back to Ohlins suspension. The last time I used Ohlins was in 2010 my best season yet so I’m looking forward to seeing what progress we can make this year.

The Brands Hatch GP circuit in Kent was the venue for Round 12 of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship and Josh was determined to end the season on a high. He tested the previous week on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit then at Thruxton and made some big steps forward with the bike so the feeling was good coming into the final round of the season.

Josh Day didn’t mess around Saturday and topped both wet sessions comfortably setting himself up well for the race the following day. In the race on Sunday he made a great start on moved his way through the field passing 9 riders to end the first lap in 8th. The leading group had opened up a small gap but he was setting the fastest laps of the race to close them back in. Moving up to 5th at half race distance things were looking good but a couple of mistakes while pushing cost him time. Josh had a great ride and finished 6th moving him up to 13th overall in the Championship and ending the season on a positive note.

” It was a great weekend to end the season with and for me personally I can go into winter on a high looking forward to next year. Only bad point of the whole weekend was that I really missed a trick in the 1st Qualifying by not using 2 tyres but luckily we got away with it. Anyway that’s not an issue we had a great weekend as a team and I’m so happy to be running at the front again.” –  Josh Day
